LETTER FROM THE EMBASSY OF CANADA

LETTER FROM THE EMBASSY OF CANADA

Dear Ann Mary

Mexico is a country rich in natural resources, has a great diversity of species of flora and fauna, its food is considered as intangible heritage of humanity, owns one of the seven wonders of the world (chichen Itza) as it is a very Culturally diverse.
To be Mexican is to be a brave Aztec warrior, a mestizo nobleman, an enlightened creole such as Miguel Hidalgo or a valiant revolutionary like Emiliano Zapata who fights for land and freedom.
In the first decade of the twentieth century, our country experiences a revolution, peasants, indigenous people, workers and the middle class unite under the slogans of "Effective Suffrage, No Reelection" or "Land and Freedom."
A modernized Mexico is convulsed to replace an old political system, the airs of democracy cross the Mexican sky and the class struggle is present, to demand the restitution of land to the peasant and better working conditions for the worker.
To know the importance of the Mexican Revolution is to approach the roots of our identity, the birth of a democratic life, the emergence of a political system and the cry of the most forgotten, indigenous and peasants for better living conditions.
